Sunday Mornings, Winter 2008:

Gifts and Witnesses

January-May 2008

• We are wrapping up a long series called The Cloud of Witnesses: a study of some of the most vivid and memorable people of the Old Testament. As the author of the letter to the Hebrews reminds us, these are our predecessors in faith. Knowing far less about the one living God than we do, they nevertheless followed Him faithfully — well, most of the time. They resemble us in their shortcomings too! So we have a lot to learn from their example, both when it is good and when it is not so good. Please come and learn along with us.

• 5.18 - Ezra and Nehemiah
• 5.25 -a concluding overview of Biblical archaeology and how it helps us to understand and appreciate the Biblical narrative (courtesy of our own Blake Sawicky!)
